What beauty do you see in your immediate surroundings?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for September 01, 2009:
Magnolias, oaks, and pine trees glistening from the rain out my office window. My sweet cats sleeping. The little crystals, rocks and stuff that I keep around to remind me to ground better. The beauty inherent in the interconnectivity of everything that has to happen so that I have papers, magazines, a cup of coffee, a working phone, computer, lights, A/C, etc.
No matter how "immediate" our surroundings are, we are always surrounded by a beautiful vast sea of seen and un-seen inter-dependant interconnectivity that most folks don't account for in their "immediate" perceptions.
One of the things I learned along the way, was to be grateful for everything, and when I pray my gratitude I send it out through to all elements in that vast sea of interconnectedness that brought everything for which I am grateful to me.

That does sound very “together” and very beautiful!
