What is your relationship to independence?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 04, 2009:
I have been quite independent, mostly because my beliefs are out of sync with mainstream. Yes, I co-create my reality, no I don't just meet everyone else's expectations of me. My happiness is independent of your opinions of me, etc.
That said, I am not independent to a fault. I have learned to trust and ask for help when I need it, and treasure the positive responses. I am here to help others as well, if/when they allow / request.. You can get a lot more done when everyone shares a bit of the work.
Learning to trust and delegate was a key to growing into a leadership role. You need the independece to provide and hold a clear vision, but you also need the willingness to trust and join together to really achieve great things.

Thanks for sharing your views, they are clearly well thought out and make absolute good sense to me. To be a link in the chain does not weaken but strengthens the whole. A greater whole creates a greater independence for all concerned.
